ISS participates in the first Irish Facilities Management Exhibition
The RDS hosted the inaugural Facilities Management Exhibition on the 17th and 18th of February 2009, this was the first of its kind in Ireland and was truly the first step that both service providers and customers alike have taken on the road to the IFS Concept.
Over 80 Exhibitors were present with thousands of visitors attending over the two day event. The Exhibitors ranged from Single Service Providers, to product specialists, to Facility Management Companies to the only fully Integrated Facility Services Company ISS Facility Services. The services ranged from cleaning to security to catering to property services to pest control to washroom, with the one stand out fact that ISS were the only exhibitor in the hall that could provide all of these services in house through self delivery either on a single service basis, a bundled service basis or on an IFS (Integrated Facility Services) basis. Due to this innovative approach taken by ISS our Exhibition Stand was visited by all who attended the Conference and was busy from the start of day one to the end of day two.
As a feature of the Facility Management Conference there were various talks on different areas of the Industry, our Managing Director Thomas Hinnerskov was invited by the conference organisers to deliver the Key Note speech on “FM industry dynamics globally and how this will effect Ireland” This he did to a packed and very engaged audience, which afterwards developed into a questions and answers session with Thomas fielding questions from some of the key decision makers from the leading companies of Ireland.
ISS invested heavily both in the production/construction of the stand, in the resourcing of the stand but also in assisting the organisers to make the 2009 Exhibition the success that it was. It is also a sign of our commitment and belief in this exhibition that we have booked in again for 2010 with us selecting the flagship space so that attendees will again enjoy the warmth and hospitality our company has to offer as well as chatting about the advances in the industry in a relaxed, modern and contemporary environment.
As I finish I would just like to thank the Property Services Division of ISS for designing, constructing and managing what was in my opinion the best and most contemporary stand at the Exhibition.
